TETRA Network Alive Check Module

For Enhanced Lone Worker Security

When the TETRA Network Alive Check Module detects an error, it quickly alerts lone workers through means which do not depend on the faulty system. It could be flashing lights or sirens or it can reach personnel by SMS or through SCADA-systems.

Giving You Certainty

Whenever a critical situation occurs, for instance a lone worker alarm being raised, it is of great importance that the TETRA radio network is alive.

The Alive Check Module constantly verifies, that the TETRA network and vital parts of the Lone Worker Protection System is operational.

In case of a faulty network, the TETRA Network Alive Check Module warns the lone worker through lights, sound or it can notify other staff via SMS or the plant SCADA-system.

Functionality

The TETRA Network Alive Check Module consists of a small, robust piece of hardware, the Alive Check Unit, and a software package installed on a PC.

It continuously checks the network and selected vital parts of the Lone worker protection system, and if it gets a faulty answer, the hardware will activate designated outputs.

These outputs typically activate warning lights, sound or SCADA-alarms. When the System is alive again, the relays in the Alive Check Unit are reset.
