Zonith System Protects Employees in Copenhagen Jobcenter

The Copenhagen job centre, Musvågevej, have now taken into use a more precise, discreet and efficient panic-call system which makes the employees safer. If a job counselor feels threatened he or she can push a panic button. The entire guard staff will immediately get a TETRA radio text message (SDS) telling them exactly where the alarm has been pushed.

The wireless buttons are installed in every hallway, office and stairwell. Every room in the three story building has its own button - and every button its own location in the core software, ZONITH Alarm Control System. This means that the SDS message received by the guards are very precise, stating both the number of room and floor, so they know exactly where to run. Leif Møller states, "it is a good functional system with very detailed and clear location information".

The alarm system can - and there is a good chance it will - be expanded to include the dispatch of other types of alarms from building management- and fire prevention systems. This is a great way to make your workplace considerably more efficient.

"Employees feel much safer, knowing they can call help without the clients noticing", says security manager, Leif Møller. He is referring to the office buttons, which are attached to the underside of the office desks. These buttons can be removed and put into the pocket, if the counselors are particularly uneasy in relation to an upcoming client-meeting in the office.

The buttons in the offices can not be seen from a standing or sitting position, and the hallway buttons are discretely designed as to not provoke anyone.
