Panic Buttons for Public Employee Safety

Security Personnel have the Alarm Location on their Radios within Seconds

This Zonith solution enables security personnel to receive panic button-alarms directly on their digital radios. Alarms are sent to the guards as text messages which convey the location of the pressed button, and the guards can then rush directly to the scene. The solution is mainly for larger building installations. Read two customer stories: Jobcenter Copenhagen and Fredericia Municipality

Securing Employees in Public Organisations

Assaults and threats toward employees at job centres, social security centres and other public offices are a growing problem. The high number of situations where employees in public organisations are threatened or assaulted are creating a general discomfort and a tough working environment for the employees.

Zonith offers a panic-call system which can be used to discretely send notifications to security personnel. They will have the exact location of the incident within seconds of the panic button being pressed. For more information about the solution:

Three Components

Our panic-call system consists of three parts:

  • Wireless panic buttons

All offices, hallways and stairwells have wireless panic buttons installed. When a panic-call is activated it sends a wireless alarm signal to the ZONITH Alarm Control System.

  • Software for monitoring of panic-calls

ZONITH Alarm Control System monitors all panic alarms from the alarm monitoring unit. This software makes sure that all panic-calls reaches the the security personnel on their phones or guard radios. You can also integrate building management-, fire- and technical alarms, which will then be sent to people with the skills to handle the specific alarm.

  • Digital radios for the guards

To attain the highest alarm reliability the guards are equipped with digital radios, DECT phones or GSM phones. Digital radios and DECT phones are for professional usage and extremely dependable. They are designed to perform in demanding environments, which makes them the perfect guard radios.

The wireless panic buttons are discretely designed and are installed in every office, corridor, stairwell and so on.

Radio display: When a panic button is pressed, a text alarm is sent to security personnel radios with the exact location.

Buttons are attached with velcro to the underside of the table. Employees can put the button in their pocket if they are facing a meeting they are uncomfortable with.
